I really like this app, the timeline is awesome!
Maybe you want to implement this function, too:
nextcloud/photos#937
nextcloud/photos#1121

This isn't too hard, but is it actually even useful?
There could be better designs -- something like Google Photos maybe, that shows the "on this day" photos at the top of the timeline. Perhaps including the whole week or something.

Thanks for you reply.
I like this feature a lot, otherwise I would no watch my old photos.
From a design perspective you may have right, there a better ways to solve it.
This great app https://gitlab.com/nkming2/nc-photos showes the on this day photos on top of the timeline, too:

How would that be different/better than what Photos already has/will have?

It would not be better, I think. But it's not implemented in photos.

Let's wait before duplicating effort. Also having two widgets wouldn't be sensible once this gets merged.
Especially because memories has zero advantage over Photos in this matter.
