Hi all, My name is Martin and I am new here. Spoke to Laurens at the Fll finals in Delft where I was member of the robot design jury. Bought a license for Blocks, but cannot install the firmware on my robot inventor hub, because the WinUsb is not on my rather new Windows 11 computer and can also not be found at the internet to install seperately......so what am I doing wrong. Is there another name for this driver maybe?

Is it possible that some of the steps are named differently in Windows 11 or non-english versions of Windows?

Two people have asked and apparently solved it, but I'm not exactly sure which step they selected in the end to make it work. Perhaps this helps:

Thank you, this is very helpful.

The important part is the Devices/Apparaten part, as you have correctly figured out. I think we can clarify this on the instruction diagrams.

Now I am curious is this specific to non-English translations, or whether the abbreviated USB vs. Universal Serial Bus nomenclature change is Windows 11 specific. Can anyone with a EN-US windows 11 version confirm? Thanks!

Maybe we can update the instructions for users that are on Windows 11. @dlech, are you able to confirm this?

I don't see any difference between Windows 10 22H2 and Windows 11 24H2. I think the only differences are:

1. The translation. People are clicking the list of "controller" drivers instead of "device" drivers and getting the wrong list. Unfortunately, both of these items have icon, so if you don't know the English, it could be easy to mix these up.
2. There may be more items in the list if the end user has installed other USB drivers for other hardware.

Thanks for adding these. That helps getting the full picture.

I think the confusion might be in the listed items inconsistently being abbreviated as USB or written out.

In the translations, both variants are also used, but crucially, exactly the other way around. Compare with @Martin-Hartwigsen's screenshot above for example.

So instead of changing any pictures, we can add a note to the existing text to look for devices/apparaten/gerate instead of controller, no matter if usb is spelled differently.

Thank you for spending so much time on this! In other languages the names are different indeed what is strange....... On my older Windows 10 computer (in Dutch) it was the same as on my Windows 11 laptop.
