Extension stops responding

I am using BEX extension but recently I have and issue that I cannot replicate easily or understand the issue.

I have a form that the user would fill in the extension, when hitting the submit button which is expecting to send an AJAX call to add entry.

But instead, it doesn't do anything
No console issues, and no Network requests.

As if the extension is detached from the background script and session.

Did anyone experience something similar

Using quasar for Microsoft Edge (but it is reproducible on every other browser)
