Principles of CLI Apps (and their Frameworks)

Abstract

As part of refactoring a CLI application at work, I investigated different CLI frameworks and decided that I wanted to write my own. I came away from this experience with a lot of knowledge (and opinions) about how CLIs behave and how they should be written. I'm also preparing the framework that I wrote to be open sourced (which may or may not be ready by the time I would present this talk).
