Announcing the Open Sourcing of the Quran.com iOS App

I'm thrilled to announce that the Quran.com iOS App is now open source!

As part of our commitment to fostering Islamic innovation and promoting transparency, we have decided to release the source code of the Quran.com iOS App to the public. The project, named QuranEngine, contains approximately 99% of the app's source code and provides a robust foundation for developers to build Quran-related applications.

Our intention behind this move is to encourage a collaborative atmosphere among developers worldwide, enabling them to build upon the existing codebase, enhance its features, and drive the creation of innovative, Quran-focused applications.

The repository also includes an example application, QuranEngineApp, which replicates the Quran.com iOS App's functionality. However, we kindly request that you do not republish it without making significant modifications.

Installation is as straightforward as it gets, with the Swift Package Manager support. You can find all the instructions and more details in our repository here.

Furthermore, we are eager to see your contributions! We encourage you to tackle open issues or propose new features. Start a conversation with us in the Discussions section of the repo and we'll be more than glad to assist you.

By open-sourcing QuranEngine, we hope to accelerate Islamic tech innovation, helping developers to bypass the foundational work and instead focus on creating new, exciting features and apps for Muslims around the globe.
