The code from the example:

// ... //
<DropdownMenu.Trigger>
  <Button variant="soft">
    Options
    <DropdownMenu.TriggerIcon />
  </Button>
</DropdownMenu.Trigger>
// ... //

But I don't understand why this is done, because DropdownMenu.Trigger is the button itself. Why put a button inside a button?
