HI,
Upstream Kubernetes have 14 months of support and Rancher tries to mimic the same and Rancher doesn’t provide any additional support window. It’s technically not even 14 months because it took 6 months for Rancher to add support for Kubernetes 1.25
Microsoft has started supporting Kubernetes for 2 years. Did Rancher also realise this problem and is also thinking in this direction to add long-term support for 2 or 3 years?

Similarly, Openshift has also started supporting a Kubernetes version for 2 years. For example, Openshift 4.12 is bundled with 1.25 version of Kubernetes and is supported for 2 years.
