Hmmmm. That doesn't sound like standard behavior. Are you sure it isn't another plug-in/extension that is causing this…?
This script is designed to not save files, but to just change your file buffer and rely on you saving on your own. There have been discussions about adding an auto save feature, but I haven't implemented that into the core script to avoid possible issues.
Try this: Install a fresh copy of ST (perhaps on another machine or user?) and then HTMLBeautify. If you don't get the same error, then you may need to start troubleshooting your standard install to pinpoint why it is generating a new file each time.
Suddenly my files are being saved as a new file after beautifying. Any way to stop this and save to current file instead?
