Intro
First of all, I want to express my gratitude for the extensive work you've put into this project. I set up my Lightning node over the past week, and I've been thoroughly enjoying the process from start to finish.

Suggestion for Documentation
It might be valuable to update the documentation to mention that while a 1TB SSD is sufficient for hosting a Bitcoin (BTC) full node and a Lightning node, users may quickly run out of space when adding additional software through RaspiBlitz.

Reasons Why (Based on My Experience)
I set up my node as a BTC full node and Lightning node, following the recommended hardware guide and purchasing the suggested components. Since I wanted full control and room to experiment, I also installed BTC Mempool Space and Ride The Lightning (RTL).

Currently, the SSD is already 85% filled, with Mempool Space at 90% indexing completion. I also attempted to install electrs, but it couldn't fit on the SSD, so I had to cancel the installation. Even without electrs, the SSD will likely reach full capacity within the next six months.

This situation now requires me to upgrade to a 2TB SSD (M.2), which is an additional expense, especially since I've already invested in the 1TB SSD. I suspect other users setting up RaspiBlitz might face similar challenges.

Recommendations

  • If the 2TB M.2 SSD option has undergone sufficient testing, it might be worth making it the default recommended hardware setup in the documentation.
  • Alternatively, you could consider recommending the 2TB SanDisk SSD as the default.
  • If neither option is tested enough for a default recommendation, adding a note in the documentation to warn users about potential storage limitations when installing additional services could be very helpful.

If you have any questions about my experience or need further details, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thanks again for all the incredible work you’re doing!

Hi. For next major Version v1.12.0 we already have a recommendation of 2TB planned: raspiblitz/raspiblitz#4745 .. I would close this issue as a duplicate, but it will be referenced in #4745
