Expiry field auto-formatting does not work when using Samsung Keyboard on android

The expiry field doesn't work correctly when using the default Samsung Keyboard app on Samsung android phones. It doesn't add a / after a month has been typed or do any auto-formatting at all.

From my research it looks like a customized version of Cleave.js is used to handle the auto-formatting which doesn't have this issue in its latest version.
