this plugin works with the mp3 player (part of the "show" feature).
If you are playing an mp3 and you miss the cover art, it will attempt to retrieve it online.
The retrieved file is currently not cached or saved anywhere, but this may change with future versions.
It requires HFS 0.54, currently available as alpha/beta, so it won't show if you have 0.53.
