First: be sure that your domain is correctly working.
How to use a domain, even a third-level domain like the ones offered by No-ip, with HFS ? A domain is just a name for your IP address, so what you need to do is to replace the numeric ip in your HFS address.
Example:
- your HFS is working on
http://1.2.3.4
- your domain is
gnappo.ddns.net
- then you can access your HFS on
http://gnappo.ddns.net
If you are using a custom port, you need to enter it together with the domain, for example: gnappo.ddns.net:8011
That's it, you are done!
Please, notice that the numeric address still works, you can use both.
You can tell HFS to use your domain when displaying an address.
- Go to Admin-panel
- click Shared files
- click Home
- Click on the icon
- Enter your domain in the field "Custom IP or domain"
- Close
You will notice that on the screen something has changed: the link field now shows
