Despite its blatant awesomeness, and having been around since 2011, HyperDex is surprisingly little known. Even in the (relatively large by comparison) Meteor community, which is pretty much locked into MongoDB, there has been no mention of Hyperdex until 4 days ago.
I don't exactly have an answer to this question (and don't know if a github bug report works best), but I would suspect that much of it comes down to our lack of marketing thus far. Our team is filled with coders and engineers and we've not yet filled out dedicated marketing roles.
