On Truenas Core, after having installed Pdftk with "pkg install pdftk", when I try to download a large folder, I get (translated from french):

Impossible to download data from "/apps/pdf_downloader/download/%252F%252F%252FDownloads": HTTP error resulting from an AJAX call: 504 / Gateway Timeout

Thanks for reporting. Can you please try to schedule background PDF conversion from the details side-bar? Actually, this is a problem that cannot really be overcome as the conversion takes quite some time for large folders. I'll have a look whether I can show an error message in this case which points the user to the background actions in the details tab.

I just tried again and got a Gateway timeout.

It pops-up faster than when files are successfuly generated, which is quite interesting.
