Hi,

I used to pass variables (vault passwords) from the key storage to the Ansible step through environment variable, but since the latest version the environment is cleared and the variables are not passed to the ansible-playbook run.
Was it intended ?
Is there a documentation regarding the details of the new use of a temporary vault (because it fails on my jobs) ?

I am having this issue was well in the newest version. I can only pass them as pure "Plain Text" not as "Plain Text with Password Input"

Any updates on this issue? @alexander-variacode @ltamaster or @ronaveva. This breaks so many tasks and security as only full plain text works. I see that there is an old merge request to help this issue that was ignored? #358

I have the same problem. I used it to pass some variables that are hard to come by otherwise. For example the netbox inventory plugin can only have the password defined in the file itself or via env variables.

I've checked and it is broken since version 3.2.11, it was still working on 3.2.10.
