pygit2 is also available for SmartOS now.

[isotope :: sjorge][~]
[.]$ uname -a
SunOS isotope 5.11 joyent_20171221T020409Z i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris
[isotope :: sjorge][~]
[.]$ pkgin search pygit
py36-pygit2-0.25.0   Python bindings to libgit2
py35-pygit2-0.25.0   Python bindings to libgit2
py34-pygit2-0.25.0   Python bindings to libgit2
py27-pygit2-0.25.0   Python bindings to libgit2

It looks like currently SmartOS is one of the few that default to dulwich, maybe this should be update? Myself I always run the master with pygit2... only issue is that 2 packages are needed to get it to work and that doesn't look like it is supported?

I did open a ticket for that because it looks like there is a missing runtime dependancy: TritonDataCenter/pkgsrc#57

Maybe this should be update to also use pygit2 on SmartOS?
