Minor documentation updates

Adding some minor clarifications to documentation as I go.

I had to make local changes for tests to run

mrh.patch.txt

or I set host dynamically in settings.py from env var, and run tests with

 DB_HOST=localhost REDIS_HOST=localhost inv pytest.run inv pytest.run
