Go Variables

Rules for Variable Names:

  • Must start with a letter or underscore (_).
  • Cannot start with a digit.
  • Can contain alphanumeric characters (A-Z, a-z, 0-9) or an underscore (_).
  • Go is case-sensitive (e.g., age and Age are different variables).
  • There is no limit on the length of a variable name.
  • Variable names cannot contain spaces.
  • Keywords cannot be used as variable names.

Syntax for Variable Declaration:

var variableName type = value;

Examples:

  1. Explicit Type Declaration

When Not to Use :=:
