Available automatic rooms configuration on the lovelace-xiaomi-vacuum-map-card

Currently testing.. but finally got a result.. the camera will finally provided to the card the rooms configuration.. this will facilitate the setup of the rooms for the vacuums supporting this functionality..

There is to take in account that this function is going simply to facilitate the setup of the card that by the way it works with only deleting the previous card and then adding a new card.. (actually you can add it while the the previous one is still in the GUI). The camera provide the required data for allowing the GENERATE ROOMS CONFIG of the lovelace-xiaomi-vacuum-map-card. The values generated will require anyhow some adjustment to the card configuration. I'm thinking about to release a beta release just to test if all will be okay before the official release of this improvement.. note that at the moment it was tested with rotation set to 0 degree.. hopefully within next week when v1.2.0 will be released this will work on all rotation angle will be setup on the image.

EDIT: tested the rotation of the image and card automatically rotate the rooms as well without any configuration required.. so it is now possible to confirm v1.2.0 will go out earlier next week.. there still some additional futures that will be implemented :)

We are currently working on a new release of the camera that will offer a more easy setup process.
As well it will add the possibility to setup the transparency for all of the available colors used in image.

As soon the V1.4.0 will be completed will continue to work on this topic.

@IzeQube it is already possible to configure the rooms automatically but we scheduled to improve this functionality at current for v1.5.0.

Happy to know that, as per our initial goal, this integration is simple and straightforward to setup and use ;) Thanks once again @rohankapoorcom that made it possible.

Hi,

Firstly thanks for creating this Camera for HA.

I currently have a Xiaomi 1C robot vacuum running Hyperfer\Valetudo and have setup your camera as per the instructions and it is giving me the map data, which each room coloured appropriately. I have the areas named in the Valetudo software. I am using the lovelace-xiaomi-vacuum-map-card configured with your camera and it is displaying the map fine, however I can't figure out how to get Rooms working. When I go into the card the link for 'GENERATE ROOMS CONFIG' is greyed out and I can't click on it to auto generate the code for the rooms.

What am I missing ?

Hi @IzeQube,
When you look at the camera attributes you may see the rooms attribute under the calibration data (use the developer tools and check the state of the camera please). If this is okay.. please create a new card (you can create it without deleting the existing one) and select the camera without to create / edit the generic config, the camera of course need to have the setup as per the read me. If you have a generic config created once the card will not show the option to create the rooms. The important think is there is a rooms attribute, that so far I've tested on 1.4.5 should be there when the image contains the segments (and you are seeing the rooms). To be honest I would like to know if other guys setup the 1C like you and I'm pleased to know your are using this integration. Please just let me know if this helps.. I will check the docs and improve the procedure to setup the rooms configurations.. please let me know if this helped.

I checked the attributes of the camera in developer tools and it has calibration points, looks like this.

I tried creating a new card with generic config and just selected the vacuum entity and the camera, but still no room data.

Okay, there is then some issue on the part that should get the data. I do have already a log from a previous report, several months ago, anyhow if you enable the debug the integration will save a zip file in the www folder, this automatically extracts the Json from your vacuum, it would be useful if you can send it to me the zip file so that I can compare the data from the test and yours. I will work out the fix for this.

@duffmiester This is coming out from an S50 I think it should work also with the 1C.. I would need a little time to confirm it if want I can test your data if you are willing to provide them. You can send me the zip file via email gsca075[at]gmail.com.
