Deleting scrim on timeline node creates many duplicate new scrims

Deleting scrim creates many duplicate new scrims:

After accidentally typing while video is paused or during playback I want to discard/delete a scrim. Sometimes 'discard' is not listed as an option under the new scrim's name in the menubar.

I then right click on the branch node on the timeline -- it creates many many (10 or more) new duplicate scrims.

Can reproduce the bug: Yes consistently every time when right clicking on node to select 'delete scrim'
