emoji shortcode does not translate into emoji in rss feed

I type :link: in the editor. In the story it renders as 🔗 but in the feed it still shows as :link:

Jeffrey -- unlike in fargo this is not a simple fix. I could fix it simply, of course, by adding the emoji processing code on the server. But it's tricky because the chatlogs are multi-author. So there are all kinds of questions I want to answer first, before knowing what the right way to approach this is. Just wanted to be sure you know I saw this.
