i haven't thought about it yet, but i think LGPL would be best and the only really usable one

Could you make a new release with the recent changes? That would make packaging
easier. Maybe also a new windows built?

@segler-alex The Readme file indicates that this is a fork of another project. What was the license of that code? It is likely that you need to use the same license that it used. Is this the upstream:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/pidgin-gpg/

If so, that page says that it's licensed with these licenses: BSD License, GNU General Public License version 2.0 (GPLv2), GNU Library or Lesser General Public License version 2.0 (LGPLv2)

I suspect not having a license here makes it hard to get this package included in a few distributions, such as Fedora, that require certain licenses before they will include the package in their repositories.
