thank you for this incredible mod, i use it in any and all modpacks i play
the only thing i wish for it to have is a minimap like the old version, or even something more minimal such as a skyrim-style navbar
i understand this goes somewhat against the idea of the mod, but i always wished for a minimap to be enabled via an extension mod or a config option
cheers <3

This would be huge. Something toggle-able like the old Atlas Overlay addon.

I would also love this, it would be cool as another option for the handheld atlas since that was removed.

funnily enough i was just coming over to suggest the same thing, tho i think a minimap might not fit the intention of the mod nearly as much now that i think about it. i drew up some mockups of a bethesda-style compass since i really liked the idea of a mod implementing something like that. waypoints could fade in and out depending on proximity and there could be a toggle for stuff like coords, biome information, etc

either way im throwing in my vote for there being some kind of HUD element to the mod since i quite like the way it works

funnily enough making one of those ^ for Surveyor is on our list of mod ideas. Doesn't require the terrain part of the API, so it'd be pretty cheap.

Peculiar approach to dealing with this, however I directly noticed the map becoming transparent with a shader pack enabled

Specifically running NeoForge 1.21.1 21.1.93
I have yet to test this in a standalone instance with only Sodium + Iris alongside Connector + FFAPI + AA4, however I am doubtful my modpack is responsible for this behavior given it's exclusive to shaders

EDIT: As expected, behavior still present with only these
