Android 12, not scanning images

I have a Lenovo Tab P11 Plus android tablet running Android 12.
I've granted the app permission to access 'files and media' but the app constantly remains at 0% 'updating image index'.
Tried granting permission followed by reboot but no success.

@968378 Thank you for the report, probably hits some sort of permission issue with Android. I didn't test the app extensively on different Android versions so far, so I'll look into it and try to get it fixed. Meanwhile you can probably try the 1.0 release version, since I developed and tested it on my own phone which was Android 12 at that point in time, but I am not sure if that will help.

@slavabarkov i am on 1.1 and android 12. stock android, nothing custom. i have kept the app onscreen for the past half hour but image index is at 0%.

i will keep the app on for another hour and inform you if the % counter increases

i checked this fork mentioned in another comment https://github.com/sowa705/AIGallery and the app actually worked and i was able to complete sync. this fork also asked for storage permission which is missing in the original.
