Audio pitch problems

I really don't wish to criticise the player as it has been my No1 choice for years and I can't imagine using another player, but has it been steadily getting worse? My latest problem (of many) is that when playing A/V at speed, even 1.1x, the pitch is varying terribly, like a warble. I have included 2 video links (normal & 1.1x) and a picture of the settings showing that pitch should not alter at high speeds. Any ideas?

This did not happen on previous versions. I have replicated the problem on my sister's computer. I would simply go back and use an earlier version (21.10) but then I cannot use the opensubtitles.com subtitle downloader. Thanks for any ideas to ease my frustration! Surely others must be encountering this?

I am using windows 10 and currently using smplayer 24.5.0 rev 10277. When I revert to 21.10 the audio problem goes away. I previously had to revert to 21.10 because of a different problem but just said I'd try the latest version to see if there were still issues present and they are, for both me and my sister anyway.

That's probably a problem of the mpv version included in the package. You can replace mpv with a newer version and see if it works better. You can find builds for Windows here:
