hardcoded redshift values in nearby 99 sample

In the original repo, there are redshift values for the nearby 99 sample in the code. These have better precision than the ones in Kowalski 2008 Table 1. Where do the more precise values come from? (I assume the precision doesn't actually matter here, just curious about the provenance).
