Build tearing plugin

Dear SOFA community,

I wanna use tearing plugin in SOFA. So I downloaded tearing plugin, and following the instructions of building external plugins described here pluginCompile.

It failed and the error was "sofa/component/constraint/projective/FixedProjectiveConstraint.h: No such file or directory". Should I firstly install some other plugins for using tearing plugin ?

Hi,

the change of header for FixedProjectiveConstraint.h is a recent change in SOFA. You probably have a mismatch between your SOFA and Tearing plugin versions.

You should either use the master branch on both if you want to develop in it. Or use the 23.12 release of SOFA and Tearing plugin

Hi epernod,

I met the same problem when I was compiling using ninja after compiling in CMake.

Then I checked the folder "sofa/component/constraint/projective" on GIthub, I only see file "FixedProjectiveConstraint.h" in master branch but not in the 23.12 release of SOFA, so when I install 23.12 release for SOFA and Tearing plugin it tells me "No such file or directory".

Is there any solution for this?

Hi,

if you install the release 23.12 of SOFA, you need to take the release 23.12 of Tearing plugin as well.
