Similar to how transcript is implemented on Vimeo, the goal is to allow learners to be able to search through the transcript and get to a certain point of the video based on the results.

Basic design considerations:

  • Allow multiple languages
  • Need to think about how the transcript panel will be shown, especially on the small screen + fullscreen
  • Transcript must be uploaded -> should it be editable after uploaded?
  • Do we implement closed caption using the uploaded transcript? If so, a button must be added to the video controller for language selection + toggle.
