Can't purge url without trailingslash

Opening this issue following some compatibility work done on WP Rocket. While QA the changes, we noticed the following: wp-media/wp-rocket#6100 (comment)

clear cache of an individual url is not working (i.e not setting cache header to Miss) when permalinks without / i.e /%postname% However, it is working when permalinks with/ i.e /%postname%/

Is this something expected in SpinupWP? Looking in the code I couldn't find a reason why, debugging shows the purge_url() is correctly called and returns true, but loading the page after shows a HIT header instead of the expected MISS.
