Why Github Sponsors? 🤷♂️
I have always enjoyed contributing to open source and over the course of the 4-5 years I've been on github, I have submitted bug reports, created pull requests and patches and maintained useful projects that didn't have an active maintainer. I don't have a particular project that needs your contributions at this time, but if you feel the need to say thank you ❤️ or buy me a coffee ☕, this is more or less the reason I joined the sponsors program.
I will continue to contribute to open source and maybe one day, I will have a project that is wide reaching and in demand enough to warrant more than a thank you.
What can you expect from me?
I plan to continue to contribute to open source in whatever way I can. With the advent of the sponsors program, I also plan to use take the opportunity to sponsor people I think deserve to be highly recognized for the work they do.
