I'm a senior engineering lead working in Sydney for a fast-growing fintech company called Cover Genius. I have been working on APIs for quite a long time now, and these days API development along with multi-service architectures and SPAs tends to be my bread and butter.

I maintain and develop community projects that are widely used (and useful!), and have created some cool new innovative packages/projects as well, and I have many more ideas on what to contribute. Where I am working now, we have a lot of complex enterprisey architectural problems to solve; relating to independent services, distributed APIs, multi-tenancy and other fun stuff - so I try and contribute bits and pieces of my ideas and work to github as I can.

Check out my API boilerplate project, as much of my work revolves around that and various add-ons to it and dependencies thereof. I maintain most of my projects as part of my API Ecosystem for Laravel org.

I also work with the PHP Open Source Saver org on supporting various PHP projects which are used by many, but are unfortunately not actively maintained by their original authors.

I aim to put out packages that are easy to get into and get going with, but which also offer complex and enterprise-level features - as I generally find enterprise-scale stuff missing from the Laravel ecosystem.

I think the work which the Laravel Team have accomplished is fantastic, but the community definitely has it's place filling in the various gaps that do exist.
