Battery warning never shows (could the battery percentage be incorrect?) #272

This is vague but I feel my A30 is overestimating the battery percentage number. It actually feels the battery percentage icon is more accurate.

My A30 has shut down unexpectedly multiple times. I believe it's supposed to at some point show a battery warning indicator and gracefully exit. But instead it just shuts down and loses my progress. I think it may be indicative of potentially overestimating battery percentage.

I can try to get pictures later but the battery icon will show like a red bar or one bar while the percentage number is >50. And the icon seemed to be more accurate.

You can close this issue if you don't feel like it has any bearing but that is what is happening on my device with Spruce installed recently. Until I get a picture perhaps.

is it by chance happening when you sit idle in the menu or 2 minutes? There is a setting for this in the Advanced Settings app

Nope, I don't think so, was during active gameplay.

Here's a picture of mismatch between the battery icon and the percentage number. I checked it during a session of active gameplay, I exited to the menu. While it is the Cosy theme, I believe the random shutdowns and never getting the battery warning popup indicates it's possibly the battery percentage Is off. And maybe the number is a perfect 50.

The battery warning popup does work if I let the device completely die, charge it a bit, and turn it on at 1-4% though.

I noticed when I got my A30 that on the stock OS it was showing ~60% battery when I first switched it on. I wiped the card and installed Spruce straight away, and Spruce showed ~90% battery.

I haven't played it enough to run down the battery to test the warning yet though!
