Assistance Required: Triggering Measurement Reports in srsRAN

Hi all,

I am currently working on a setup involving the srsRAN_Project (gNB) and srsRAN_4G (UE). My objective is to trigger measurement reporting, specifically periodic reports, or at least confirm that some form of measurement reporting is possible within this setup.

Setup Details:

Repositories:

srsRAN_Project: Commit ID e5d5b44
srsRAN_4G: Commit ID ec29b0c1ff79cebcbe66caa6d6b90778261c42b8

Environment:

• ZeroMQ (ZMQ) based setup; no USRPs involved.
• Aggregated gNB setup (not using the CU/DU split).
• The UE successfully connects to the gNB and registers with an Open5GS core network.

Current Configuration Files:

• I have attached my current gNB and UE configuration files below for reference.

Challenges:

• Despite setting up the gNB and UE as per the provided documentation and example configurations, I have been unable to observe any measurement reports being triggered.
• I suspect the issue lies within the configuration parameters, particularly in the UE configuration, but I am unsure which parameters to modify.

Request:

Could someone guide me on the specific configuration parameters or steps required to enable measurement reporting? Additionally, any insights into how the ZMQ setup and the aggregated gNB (non-CU/DU) might influence this process would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, i am not sure, but probably 5G srsUE does not support Measurement Reports.

Thanks for the response! Just to confirm, are measurement reports supported when using a real UE with USRPs, but not with srsUE?
