Hello, thanks for your tremendous work on internet mail! will prob. be a fan of stalwart real soon. For the deployment I see, JMAP will be used using the IMAP proxy, hence the need to have an auth source for postfix submission for relay. Do you plan to makes jmap-server be an auth source for cyrus sasl? I have spare time, I may help but my rust is very "beginner", just finished my 100 first lines of code :) :/

Hi!
Since Stalwart IMAP communicates with the JMAP server over HTTP, it is not possible to implement SASL authentication mechanisms other than PLAIN and LOGIN. However, in the next release of Stalwart JMAP the plan is to include the IMAP server in the same binaries in order to be able to offer many more authentication mechanisms.

Also, in two to three months Stalwart SMTP should be released which will automatically integrate and authenticate users against the JMAP server.

Hi @catseyechandra , the current release can also do something similar with cyrus-saslauthd and stunnel. Please see stalwartlabs/imap-server#4

Thank you guys for all the effort you are putting into this revolutionary solution that everybody was waiting for years ago. once you release the smtp support you will put cyrus and dovecot in a really bad shape and bring a toll that really solve a ton of issues that we where dealing with for years. your solution bring all the flexibility that we were waiting for. Thanks
