I'm a noob Robotics researcher myself and was curious about what robot infrastructure your lab uses. I was wondering if this is the main driver that is used to interact with the Panda in your lab? If so, what additional utilities does this provide that ROS doesnt already do? Apologies of this is not the right forum to ask this question.
