Example:

when I type "ins" into Flow Launcher, the first result from Favorties plugin is a folder called "Admin Stuff" and the second one is "Instagram". I find this a bit annoying, because arguably "Instagram" is a closer match to "ins". Is there any way to influence this? Both search results are Favorites btw.

I don't know if it can be done, I think this would be difficult to do for me and the Flow Launcher dev team as there is much complexity. Ideally, there should be settings that allow you to get what you are asking, I agree with that. When I have time and be annoyed by the order myself, I will work on this.

If you use flow API's search functionality you should get the "Instagram" before "Admin Stuff" out of the box with the searches.

Upcoming v1.20.0 release will also allow fixing the result order via the Result class Flow-Launcher/Flow.Launcher#3144.
