Original Folder ?

Hello
Is there a way to have the PR output placed back into the original folder of the source?

At present, the source files are copied to the LR2PureRaw folder and the output is to LR2PureRaw/DXO

Hello FarFromSane.
No chance. At least the plug-in has no direct influence on the PR export.
The solution which I prefere depends on my LR import workflow:
I always import by date (format 2021/2021-12/2021-12-29).
Later on I rename the sub-folder 2021-12-29 to something like 2021-12-29-Wedding
If I use the same import strategy during PR export the photo goes to the parallel sub-folder 2021-12-29 and I have to move it to 2021-12-29-Wedding.

It would be so much easier if PR had an option to automatically select the original folder.
Do you have a pointer to the PureRaw Cli syntax? Does it allow passing the destination folder?

fwiw,
DXO PHOTO LAB has a LR integration that does the following

1. Passes the raw to PL and invokes PL
2. User does work in PL
3. Export back to LR in same folder as original
4. Creates a new collection for this batch.

Works ok-ish except for the new collection part. That moves your view/focus away from the original folder and is very disruptive. I’ll try to mod the plug-in.

I guess there is no CLI or API for PureRaw.
But something came into my mind. How about using symbolic links? Manually it works fine:
Example:

1. Export directory is <Picture Folder>/LR2PureRaw
2. The photos which you want to export all resides in folder <User Home>/Lightroom/Photos/2021/2021-12/2021-12-29-Wedding
3. Create a symbolic link:

• macOS: ln -s <User Home>/Lightroom/Photos/2021/2021-12/2021-12-29-Wedding /LR2PureRaw/DxO
• Windows: mklink /D <User Home>\Lightroom\Photos\2021\2021-12\2021-12-29-Wedding <Picture Folder>\LR2PureRaw/DxO

I tried it under macOS and it works pretty fine.
But under Windows one need administrative rights to use mklink.
Also, this workaround is not too easy to automate.
