IP is shown but not reserved

Hi Tobias,

This is great that you have created this nice provider for SW Orion! I would like to have the following questions about it:

• Should the provider reserve the IP besides returning it?
• Where can I get all the available parameters which can be shown in the output (for both the resource and data source)?

I used your example and the first available IP is returned but not reserved. Some lines in the log contain the following:
plugin.stdio: received EOF, stopping recv loop: err="rpc error: code = Unavailable desc = transport is closing"

If the the IP should have been reserved, how can I debug the issue more? Connection should be OK and the user has the correct permissions to make changes in IPAM. Excuse me for not sending detailed logs, but this is a company network.

@balint-szabo - yes it should reserve the IP, and optionally sets the hostname field in orion.

Can you provide what version of solarwinds you have?
