Merlin extended by Imagemin Guard

After it was unclear whether Merlin is still being worked on (cf. #18), I continued work on it with Imagemin Guard. Imagemin Guard is up-to-date and includes some new features, like support for AVIF and WebP. (Given a generally large number of changes and improvements, it probably makes sense to treat this as a separate project by now.)

I’m doing some last technical tests and running a brief legal review, too, to make sure everything is working as expected and compliant, before sharing the project itself.

Please let me know if there are any questions or concerns, if something would be good and important to you, or if there’s interest in collaborating either way.

(If you do not plan to continue Merlin, I’d be stoked if you could give Imagemin Guard a spin, and perhaps point to it as a potential successor. Thanks for considering!)
