Running is a faster way of moving left and right, but costs stamina and reduces control.

The following needs to be completed to satisfy the requirements for running:

  • The player can double-tap left or right from an idle position in order to initiate the run.

  • The player gains speed when running, and this inertia transfers to any jumping movement.

  • When the player lets go of the run button to stop, a small 'cooloff' animation plays where the player is unable to run again.

  • While running, stamina should be depleted by 1, and then 1 for every 0.3 seconds the player remains in running state.

  • While running, if the player should attack, they will do a special punch (to be created)
