Questions to consider in our discussions. A lot of this discussion will likely happen off-line.

  • Should we allow users to associate their own idea with an event?
  • Should we allow "event admins" to (somehow, possibly a request to us) pull in ideas into their events?
  • Should an idea be allowed to live under multiple events?
  • How to utilize the start date and end dates?
  • How to utilize the location?
  • What would we consider "events"? Is it just Innovation Challenges? Do we let IP Sprints make their own backlogs?

My opinion on the matter: events are a useful tool to organize ideas according to real world activities. If a specific group doesn't want to use them that's fine. That doesn't mean someone else won't.
