Akuma Crosshair Broken Recently

Setup:
Latest TP
Latest Windows 11
Latest GPU drivers
No other software interfering (reshade, riva tuner etc)
Intel cpu, amd GPU

Issue:
Akuma crosshair is not displaying
This is a recent problem with user joejoe (nvidia gpu) on discord confirming was working on version 1266 but broken after that.
png's are in game.exe folder
crosshair option is turned on in TPUI

I'm having issues with Akuma as well, but for me it's the trigger button not working in-game. Works fine in the test menus
