i don't know about frigate but my hardware nvr and my mobile tinycam app both can control ptz on cameras running thingino over onvif. |

Thank you for your answer. Frigate and Thingino are truly great partners. On Frigate, I can manually control the movement of the camera, but 'automatic tracking' is not possible. I think some adaptation may be needed here, and I will do more testing to provide more information. |

I just tried setting this up in Frigate as well. Would be cool to get resolved on one end or the other |

Hm, frigate closed my case but per their documentation and camera test script provided, it would appear that my cinnado d1 camera running the latest build of thingino does suppose all required ONVIF functionatality:

check the discord chat history, I'm sure someone had it working before. |

Im not up to date on the current motors implementation but from when I got this working, this is what I did: -This is the ptz section of the onvif.conf file. We simulate continious motion request by issuing a relative move with a large position (9000)
Move presets and get presets are crucial to get it working as they camera needs at least one to be they default position after tracking stops In my case, I manually filled the ptz_presets.conf file to have at least one preset ready to reference on they frigate config. https://github.com/themactep/thingino-firmware/tree/master/package/onvif-simple-server/files For it to work you need to have the following on your frigate config: This si the frigate config I usted at the time
Couple of notes. You only need to leave calibrate on startup as true just once, it generates the movement weights you see on my file. Return preset is they name of they preset youu define on ptz_presets.conf, i had issues with capitalization so try lower case if it doesnt detect the preset. Let me know if you find any issues. |

Thank you for your detailed answer, you saved my life. This is indeed useful. I modified my configuration through SSH, and restarted my camera twice follow calibrate steps. and now my camera can automatically track (horizontal tracking is perfect, vertical tracking is the mirrored). I am still looking for a solution to avoid vertical tracking being mirrored.

Thanks @Sparpet and @yangminglong for your input. I havent gotten any tracking to work yet, but it seems to be enabling in frigate now rather than dying on "ONVIF MoveStatus not supported", so maybe i just need to tweak my zone settings or something. My key take aways from this discussion as it relates to thingino are that:
@Sparpet Im not clear on why we want to 'simulate continious motion request by issuing a relative move with a large position (9000)'? Is this needed or did you just use that temporarily for troubleshooting? |

hello,Thank you very much for providing Thingino firmware. I refreshed the Thingino firmware for my XFP301-M and they worked very well.
I am currently using Frigate as an NVR to manage my multiple cameras. I would like to use the AutoTracking feature provided by Frigate for cameras that support PTZ.
My question is: I received a running log prompt from Frigate stating:
Disabling autotracking for thingino_205: ONVIF MoveStatus not supported
Does this require any adaptation in Thingino firmware?Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
