When starting an autoupload manually on WiFi and then leaving home the auto upload continues. This is a problem because there is no way to stop the upload (apart from killing the app). I'm not sure whether the same thing would occur if the upload had been triggered automatically.
Ideally there would be a toggle setting to pause all uploads (Manuel or automatic) when disconnecting from WiFi to avoid data charges.
