First of all, I would like to thank you immensely for your work on this SKIN...it really is very beautiful and functional!!! Congratulations!!!

Would it be possible to edit a skin to a size of 7 inches as close as possible to a DDJ RX3?
Some information would be interesting to have in this skin such as:
1 - % of BPM
2 - BPM Range
3 - Cue Point in Pioneer style (A,B,C,D etc)
4 - Shift + Browser of the DDJ 400 to zoom out and zoom in from Waveform
5 - Possibility of inserting the shortcut of the MIXXX preferences in the SKIN itself (MENU)
6 - Add Search, Playlist buttons to a direct shortcut
7 - Possibility to change the colors of the waveforms directly without having to change the entire Skin
8 - Add recording button at the top of the skin, so it is possible to record sets faster
9 - Add active deck selection via crossfader

I'm doing a project using the DDJ-400 and also a 7 touchscreen...it would be really cool to add these functions above.

Best Regards,

Fabio

Hi Fabio, thanks for the many ideas!

Some of the requested features were already merged a short time ago or will be merged soon:

1&2: I implemented these a few weeks ago, I just opened a pull request in #9
3: the hotcues displays were merged in #7 , however they are Mixxx style, so numbered by 1,2,3 instead of A,B,C.
4: I guess this can just be done by editing the DDJ400 controller mapping, I think this is independent on the skin.
5: even in full-screen mode, the Mixxx menu bar is still visible, so it's easy to go to Mixxx preferences
7: the waveform color can be changed in Mixxx preferences, regardless of the skin
8: I was also wondering to add a recording button, but then I realized that it's also very easy to start recording from the Mixxx menu bar, "Options>Record Mix".

Cheers
Clément

Hi GorgiAstro,

First of all, thank you very much for editing the Skin...I have already inserted the code created and it is looking like items 1&2

About item 3... I understand... MIXXX actually sends this information.

About item 7... I really thought of something faster and easier to change the skin's colors or even the format between vertical and horizontal as I'm attaching...

Item 8 - You're right when we use the software's drop-down menu...my idea would be not to use it and make the skin even more similar to the DDJ RX3's MENU

I'm attaching some ideas I had around here....

Best Regards,

Fabio

3 - I just added them with colors - but the labels on the overview somehow don't match the set color, only the lines.
4 - This is already occupied in my setup for time parameter change in beat fx. 2.4 brings a lot of cool new features:) And I implemented a DJM-900 Nexus 2 style effect control, and this is the only knob that can turn infinite in both ways.
6 - Do we have enough buttons to do it ?
9 - In my experience the crossfader isn't used to mix between the decks, but for scratching. The volume faders might be better for this. This would maybe require a script and a variable in the skin to toggle with the script. But what could we map the script to ? How to detect if a volume fader is up at 100% ? What's it's max value ?
