Hello!

I'm trying to make this proyecto on an ESP32 C3 POE with RS485 isolated board:

I would like to use 1 Master and 1 Slave, I know in this way I could't write but is OK, in this project I only need to read.

So, I have added neccesary external components to the yaml to use this ESP32 but something is wrong:

Hello, I'm back.

I've been using Sleeper85 (and yours) YamBMS for a few weeks and it works well with the ESP32 POE (many thanks to @Sleeper85 for all your help), but I still like the idea of ​​using the ESP32 only for reading the system, not like the Master. That is, let my both JK-PB (master + slave) connect via CAN to my Deye inverter.

I think it is the most correct way of working.

So I'm trying again to install your project to the ESP32 ETH01-evo POE.

The scheme is very similar to the one I used with the YamBMS, because the RS485 side is yours. So I thought it would be very easy to port it.

After changing the pins, adding the repository where the Ethernet component is and adding it, I left the code like this:

@txubelaxu , could you help me to continue? I have always thought that this ESP32 POE is very interesting for this kind of proyects. It is wonderful to have to connect it only with a POE network cable, no wifi, no psu...

The thing is that I am looking everything because something is not going well... I have seen that the Deye only sees the SOC of the Master BMS.

And I don't know if it is the fault of the BMSs or if it is because the ESP32 is connected.

I have updated the firmware of the 2 BMS to version 15.33.

They are limited to 140A charge/discharge.

I boot the system, the Deye sees the average SOC and 266A. Perfect. But in 2-3 seconds, it only sees the SOC of the Master BMS and 133A charge/discharge, it seems that it only sees the Master BMS.

I have changed the cable that connects the 2 BMSs, and nothing.

Tonight I'll try removing the ESP32, see what happens...

But are you using CAN cable between ESP and Inverter? You are using RS485 only, aren't you?

It was shared by a colleague on the Solar DIY telegram.

In theory it fixed the SOC calculation problems.
I haven't been able to downgrade... let's see if I can find time tomorrow.

Well @txubelaxu , first of all, I have changed the title of this post, i think more people will find it in this way.

Second. I have downgraded to the 15.30 as you suggested, and nothing has changed, the same error.
The Deye only sees the Master BMS, I check it easily by looking at the SOC and the charge/discharge currents.

Then I tried disconnecting the ESP32, and bam! It reads the SOC and charge/discharge current well, both BMSs.
I have reconnected the esp32 and again, it only reads the Master BMS.

It seems to me that there is some conflict due to having 2 BMSs in parallel, one Master and the other Slave, and adding the ESP32 reader.

Any ideas?

How are you going to solve the JK-BMS faulty SoC issues?
Are you counting on a JK firmware upgrade?
Just yesterday a YamBMS user found himself at 0% while his two JK-PB BMS were showing 59 and 54% with 3.0V cells.

No no, I haven't been able to solve anything... I don't know about these things. I just hope you guys are able to fix it.
Lucky it doesn't bother me much because when they are in parallel the two banks work more or less at the same time...
The only thing I've seen is that when disconnecting the esp32 the deye communicates well with the JK, when connecting it, it only sees the master again.

The truth is that @txubelaxu helped me adapt his project and I change your ESP32 for his ESP32. I have always preferred to be a simple data reader, I don't like to be in the middle of CAN communication.

Hello @txubelaxu. While the issue of communication between the Slave and the Deye is being resolved, I have drawn a 3D box for this project.
