Describe the bug

After updating to [41.20250227], playing a video (mp4/wmv/flv) with both vlc and haruna over a network share, causes the process to hang, and in some instances completely locks up th UI, in the case of just a process hang. sending a "kill -9" to the process ID does not clear it, and in all cases requires a restart.

Confirmed access to network share by copying video to local drive and then playing it, this works as intended.

What did you expect to happen?

Rebase/Rollback to previous installed version from 2/16, completely clears the issue and it has not reoccured, expected behaviour of being able to play the video from smb share is back.
