NVIDIA Card Stops Working #2337
Comments
Also having the same issue, trying to boot into the latest stable version of bazzite-nvidia-open after running a System Update will boot into a black screen with a brief no signal on both my monitors which are plugged via DisplayPort. I'll have to do a test later using HDMI because I wonder if this has something to do with the newest Nvidia drivers; there was a very similar issue that happened recently with Nvidia's Windows drivers regarding DisplayPort being broken which had to be hotfixed. It's possible this same issue was carried over to Linux maybe? rpm-ostree status
Specs (from Steam System Information, running last working build of Bazzite)

I reported the same in the discord but I basically cannot even reach a screen to tty into on my ostree 0 and I also suspect gpu drivers. I personally first noticed an issue on the 02/03/25 though. Specs and rpm-ostree status from ostree1:

Describe the bug
After running the System Update today and rebooting I had to roll back to the previous ostree. BIOS and splash screen displayed fine, but once loading into the OS screen was torn and unreadable. That monitor was on HDMI and second display is setup with Display port which provided no display what so ever.
What did you expect to happen?
Expected to be able to log back into machine once system update was complete.
Output of
rpm-ostree status
