We had a client on UCommerce, who asked for this, but later the decided to switch to Shopify instead.
Often when searching for AR (Augmented reality) model-viewer is mentioned to handle this.
I guess a product in Umbraco Commerce could have a custom property (media picker or a custom property editor) to select/embed the necessary markup/scripts if model-viewer is used directly or an addon to integrate with a service like ARize.
Or maybe a addon with a HTML helper / TagHelper, property editor + PVC etc.

More websites, including commerce sites, are implementing AR (Augmented reality) on product page, e.g. to see how a couch would fit in a room.
I came across https://arize.io/businesses/ where some commerce platforms have integrations for this, e.g. Shopify.
There are some demos here.
