The deploy directory should be published to NPM to support other applications that want to deploy htsget-rs using CDK.

A few changes/considerations for the current CDK stack:

  • The stack should be converted to a construct.
  • Allow the RustFunction to access code from crates.io rather than just locally compiling htsget-rs.
  • Ideally the user should be able to use typescript props to configure htsget-rs, rather than a TOML file.
  • There should be reasonable defaults for things like resolvers that consider AWS S3 access policies.

@mmalenic https://github.com/umccr/htsget-deploy published (have a quick peek at it whenever you have time) and seems to deploy fine in UoM demo right now.
